Simpson 270 Series 4
Analog - VOM
Volt-Ohm-Milliammeter
The Simpson 270 Series 4 comes standard with the mirrored dial.
The Simpson 270-4 has the Taut Band Suspension and a mirrored dial to eliminate parallax errors.
The "M" designation is not used in the series number.
The 270 Series 4 has the three Amp-Clamp scales.
Controls include: Ohms zero adjustment, AC - DC Voltage selector switch,
and a 12 position Function / Range selector switch.
The off or "transit" position is at the 500 MA position on the function switch.
The back of the case has an "adapter lock" for use with "Add-A-Tester" accessories.

The 1 1/2 Volt "D" cell is used to power the R X 1 and R X 100 Ohms ranges.
The 9 Volt battery is used to power the R X 10,000 Ohms range and the overload circuits.
The batteries can be accessed through a removable cover on the back with a coin-slot screw.
Case Size: 5¼ " x 7 " x 3⅛ " - Weight: 3 Pounds
The Adjust-A-View handle can also support the meter in a sloping position for viewing.
