Included with the Simpson 260-8PRT are the test leads & alligator clips,
operators manual, both batteries, and both fuses with a spare 1 amp fuse.
The Simpson 260-8PRT has Taut Band Suspension and a mirrored dial to eliminate parallax errors.
Controls include: Ohms zero adjustment, AC - DC Voltage and audible continuity selector switch,
and a 12 position Function / Range selector switch. Eight recessed probe jacks.
The overload reset button is on the left side of the Simpson logo.
The transit position is the +D.C. position.
Two fuses are used in this model and are located between the batteries.
The 2 Amp and 1 Amp fuses are under the silver plate which rotates to allow removal.
A spare 1 Amp fuse is also held in place by the rotating plate.
Fuses required: 1 Amp 250 Volt type 3AG Littlefuse Type # 312001 or equivalent, and
a 2 Amp 600 Volt Littlefuse BLS2 or Bussman BBS2 or equivalent.

This photograph shows the locations of the fuses and batteries in the back of the meter.
The 1 1/2 Volt "D" cell is used to power the R X 1 and R X 100 Ohms ranges.
The 9 Volt battery is used to power the R X 10,000 Ohms range and the overload circuits.
The batteries are accessed through a removable cover on the back with a coin-slot screw.
