Brown Case Version
Special Guest Meter Page
There is not much information available about the second model 260, and even less about this version with a
brown case. A big "thank you" to Tom Johnson for these photographs of his Simpson meter.
This meter has an internal date stamped October 14, 1959. The Serial Number is 60355.
A copy of the operator's manual from 1956 can downloaded here.
Controls include: Ohms zero adjustment, AC - DC - Output, a 12 position Function / Range
selector switch, and six recessed probe jacks. The ohms adjust is now located on the right
side of the case and will remain there for the following models.
Tom bought this working meter for $15.00 at a radio show.
