Included with the Simpson 260-8Xi are the Catalog Number 00125 test leads & alligator clips,
operators manual, both batteries, and both fuses with a spare 1 amp fuse.
The Simpson 260-8Xi has the Taut Band Suspension and a mirrored dial to eliminate parallax errors.
The mirrored scale is standard on the Series 8Xi, so there is no "M" in the series number.
The A.C. Amp Clamp scales are in green.
Controls include: Ohms zero adjustment, AC - DC Voltage and audible continuity selector switch,
and a 12 position Function / Range selector switch. Seven recessed probe jacks.
While the rest of the Simpson line from the 260-7 on, uses the "reverse banana" type test leads,
the 260-8XPi and the 260-8Xi, uses the standard banana type test leads.
The back has four rubber feet to prevent sliding in the horizontal position, also a safety tips label.
Note that the 9 Volt battery is on the left side, a spare 1 amp fuse is located by the fuse holder.
This model uses the NEDA 13 F "D" cell and NEDA 1604A (9 Volt) batteries combination.
The separate battery / fuse cover only allows access to the batteries and the 1 amp fuse,
you must remove the entire back cover to replace the 2 amp fuse.
The Adjust-A-View handle can also support the meter in a sloping position for viewing.
The greatest accuracy is achieved in the horizontal position.
